Here’s a look at the announcing assignments for Week 10 of the NFL season, with some discussion of a featured game in each slot based on broadcasters, matchups, or both. All times are Eastern.
Featured/only game: Cincinnati at Baltimore
Prime Video 8:15 p.m.

Spanish: Miguel Gurwitz, Rolando Cantú
Westwood One Radio: Ian Eagle, Devin McCourty
Don’t look now, but the Bengals are on a bit of a run. They’re 4-5 overall, but 3-1 in their last four games. And the one just before that was a 41-38 overtime loss against the Ravens, so that builds some anticipation for this AFC North return matchup. The 6-3 Ravens (six-point home favorites) have certainly been the stronger team overall this year, and they’re coming off a 41-10 thumping of the Denver Broncos last week, but they also fell to the lowly Cleveland Browns (2-7 this season) the week before.
The quarterback duel here is one to watch. For much of the early season, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow was putting up stats without wins (including a 392-yard, five touchdowns against one interception showing in these teams’ last clash), but the wins have now started to come. And he threw for another five touchdowns (albeit with a pick and just 251 overall passing yards) last week against the Las Vegas Raiders, and has 2,244 yards and 20 touchdowns against four interceptions on the season (with a 70.2 percent completion mark).
Meanwhile, Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson has continued the form that saw him win the 2023 AP NFL MVP award. This year, he’s thrown for 2,389 yards (third in the league) with 20 touchdowns against two interceptions (and a 68.2 percent completion rate). He’s also rushed 84 times for 505 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and two more touchdowns, while RB Derrick Henry leads the league with 1,025 rushing yards (6.3 per carry) and has 11 rushing touchdowns. We’ll see what they can do here.
Featured/only game: NY Giants vs Carolina (in Munich)
NFL Network 9:30 a.m.
Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Jamie Erdahl, Sara Walsh
Westwood One Radio: Jason Horowitz, Phil Simms
The 2-7 Panthers have been generally woeful this year, but they’re coming off a 23-22 win over the (now also 2-7) New Orleans Saints. And that has to have them feeling good, considering how they lost 47-10 to that team in Week 2. Meanwhile, the Giants are also 2-7, but have lost four straight. (We apologize to Germany for the quality of the football-like product they’re receiving in the only game they’re hosting this year.)
Both teams have some quarterback drama. Much-maligned Carolina QB Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick overall in 2023, is set to make his third straight start following his benching earlier this year. Despite only throwing for 161 yards and a touchdown with a pick last week, he did put together his first NFL game-winning drive.
Meanwhile, Daniel Jones (in perhaps his last season with the Giants) has looked okay at times despite their record. He put up a season-high 76.7 percent completion mark last week while throwing for two TDs (but only 174 yards) and rushing for 54 yards and another TD (and earning “Angry Run” recognition from NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt along the way). But there are still big questions about him. (And on the broadcast side, the radio one here may be interesting; Simms, a former Giants’ QB himself before starting his long media career, has made both Big Blue and quarterbacks in general key focus for his podcast with his son Matt, so he’ll definitely have some thoughts on the two pivots in this game.)

While many might be tempted to go “Aw, the Denver Broncos!”, the ESPN+ The Simpsons altcast is still a few weeks away (on Dec. 9), and Sean Payton’s team has shown some life at some points recently. Yes, they’re 5-4 overall and coming off a 41-10 thumping by the Ravens, but they’d posted back-to-back victories before that. Those were against the cellar-dwelling Saints and Panthers, though, and the 8-0 Chiefs are a different caliber of opponent, and they’re favored by eight at home. But still, this CBS early game (going to about half the country, with the other half getting our other featured game below) between AFC West rivals has some appeal, and Harlan is always good for some fun calls.
The biggest question with Denver may be about rookie QB Bo Nix. As through his college career with Auburn (2019-21) and Oregon (2022-23), Nix (the Broncos’ first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, 12th overall) has shown incredible ups and downs to date. His year-to-date line of 1,753 passing yards with eight touchdowns and six interceptions (and just a 62.6 percent completion mark) is certainly far from dominant, and he threw for just 226 yards and a pick with a 57.6 percent completion rate last week. But the week before showed the duality of Nix, as he threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions and a 75.6 percent completion mark. Which Bo will we get this week?
On the Kansas City side, the Chiefs again had a narrow escape to stay perfect this past week, beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 in overtime Monday. A ton has been written about QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce not performing up to the stats we’ve seen in previous seasons, but the ailing ground game also deserves attention. RBs Kareem Hunt (414 yards) and Carson Steele (149) are averaging just 3.7 and 3.4 yards per carry respectively. Can they get the run going against the Broncos?

The headlines around these teams have been far from universally positive this season, but they enter this at 6-2 and 7-2 respectively. And perhaps the more surprising record there is from the home team, which went 4-13 a season ago and fired head coach Ron Rivera. Dan Quinn’s debut season as their HC has been great so far, and a big part of that’s about the play of No. 2 overall draft pick Jayden Daniels, who has thrown for 1,945 yards and nine touchdowns with two interceptions and a 71.5 percent completion mark to date.
Meanwhile, on the opposite sideline, Mike Tomlin once again has the Steelers doing better than expected. And they’re doing so despite two very-written-off quarterbacks in Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, and despite a whole debate about switching from Fields to Wilson when the latter returned from injury three weeks back. But the team’s won two straight under Wilson (albeit against the ailing Jets and Giants), and he’s thrown for 264 and 278 yards respectively in those wins (and with a 71.4 percent completion mark last week, a huge jump from his 55.2 percent showing against the Giants). His team’s three-point road underdogs here, but we’ll see what he can do.

Featured game: Philadelphia at Dallas
CBS/Paramount+ 4:25 p.m.

Despite the Cowboys being 3-5, they again get a network’s top broadcast team this week, after snapping a streak of 21 straight games with that last week. That says something about how much the media world obsesses about this team (and that’s not for nothing; the Cowboys remain a ratings draw, both on game days and for national studio show discussion during the week), but it also says something about their opponent, the 6-2 Eagles.
Yes, that’s right, Philadelphia is 6-2 and riding a four-game winning streak. You wouldn’t know that from the tenor of some conversations around the Eagles (seven-point road favorites in this one) this year, but they have been playing quite well, and are second in the NFC East behind the 7-2 Commanders. (And they’re really the only other team in the mix there, with the Cowboys 3-5 and the Giants 2-7.) And a huge reason why is RB Saquon Barkley, who’s made highlight-reel reverse hurdles and also rushed for 925 yards (second in the league behind the Ravens’ Henry) and six touchdowns. Philadelphia looks much stronger than Dallas entering this one, but Barkley’s a reason to tune in.
Featured/only game: Detroit at Houston
NBC/Universo/Peacock 8:20 p.m.

Universo: Miguel Gurwitz, Rolando Cantú, Ariana Figuera
Westwood One Radio: Ryan Radtke, Mike Golic
The Lions’ growth over the past three-plus seasons under the tandem of head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes has been remarkable. They went from 3-13-1 in 2021 to 9-8 to 12-5 (and division champions), and they’re rolling again at 7-1. But they’ve got a tough opponent here in the 6-2 Texans, and while they’re 3.5-point road favorites, this may not be easy for them.
For Houston, a key figure to watch is WR Nico Collins. He has a team-high 567 receiving yards on just 32 catches (17.7 yards per catch), with three touchdowns and an average of 113.4 yards per game. And he’s taken on an even more important role since they lost Stefon Diggs for the season on Sept. 8, posting 135, 86, 151, and 76 yards in the games since then. But Detroit can counter with WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown (a team-high 464 receiving yards, catches on his last 30 targets, starring in Netflix’s Receiver) and Jameson Williams (361 yards on just 17 catches, 21.3 yards per catch).

Featured/only game: Miami at LA Rams
ABC & ESPN/ESPN Deportes 8:15 p.m.
Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters
ESPN Deportes: Rebeca Landa, Sebastián Martinez-Christensen, MJ Acosta-Ruiz
Westwood One Radio: Kevin Harlan, Ron Rivera
This matchup has not gone as hoped when the schedule was set, with the Dolphins (11-6 last year) entering at 2-6 and the Rams coming in at 4-4. But there are still some things to like about this one, with Los Angeles entering on a three-game win streak and Miami losing their last two games by a total of four points.
For the Rams, RB Kyren Williams is a key figure to watch. He’s rushed for 602 yards and eight touchdowns this season, albeit while averaging just 3.7 yards per carry. For the Dolphins, QB Tua Tagovailoa remains a key subject of discussion following his return from a concussion, and he’s played pretty well in the past two games. He threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns last week against the Buffalo Bills, with a staggering 89.3 percent completion rate. We’ll see what he and one-point underdog Miami can do here. And we’ll see how Rivera, the prominent former coach, calls this on radio.
