Grass Valley, CA –The Gold Country YMCA is excited to announce the launch of its new indoor fitness classes, starting Monday, February 3rd, 2025. These classes, designed to help the community stay active and engaged, will be held at The Love Building in Condon Park, located at 660 Minnie Street in Grass Valley. The Y will offer Yoga on Mondays and Fridays at 10:00 AM, and Zumba on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats for the Yoga sessions. These fitness offerings will be led by expert instructors and are designed to promote both physical fitness and a mind-body connection.
Adults can drop in for $12 per class or purchase a 10-class punch pass for $80, while seniors can drop in for $10 or purchase a 10-class punch pass for $65. Drop-ins are welcome, and registration is open now, both online and in person. Whether you’re new to fitness or a seasoned pro, these classes offer a great way to stay fit, have fun, and connect with others in the community.
In addition to the new fitness classes, the Gold Country YMCA is also offering Lifeguard Certification classes at Memorial Park Pool, located at 350 Race Street, Grass Valley, CA. The Lifeguard Certification program will be held from April 14-16, 2025, with classes from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM each day. There will also be a Lifeguard Recertification course on April 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Participants must be at least 15 years old at the time of the course.
