Yemeni athletes win nine colorful medals in Arab Weightlifting Championship in Qatar

The national weightlifting team player Saleh Al-Saadi won three silver medals in the 49 kg weight category at the Arab Youth Championship, which is being held in the Qatari capital.
The team’s player, Basil Al-Anbari, succeeded in repeating the same scenario by snatching three silvers in the junior category, weighing 55 kg, and Al-Anbari was able to win three bronzes in the adult category.
The Secretary General of the game, Abdul Khaliq Al-Khamisi, praised the role of the players in achieving honorable results that reflected their determination and competitive spirit to honor Yemen in the Arab championship.
He praised the efforts of all those who contributed to the support, care and preparation of the team, which contributed to achieving achievements that will be a catalyst for further development in the sport of weightlifting.
Al-Khamisi called on the federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to continue providing the necessary support to Yemeni athletes to enhance their presence in Arab and international sports forums.
