MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – The residents at a Morgantown retirement community received a special visit Monday.
During The Village at Heritage Point’s weekly bingo night, the West Virginia University Women’s Basketball Team stopped by to visit with the residents.
Team members called bingo throughout the evening as the residents played to win some West Virginia-themed prizes and then had a meet and greet with the residents.
“We are so glad that the WVU Women’s Basketball Team wanted to join us for our bingo night and spend time with some of their biggest fans,” said Jeanette Lancaster, Executive Director of The Village at Heritage Point. “Many of our residents are WVU alumni and love going to WVU basketball games, so it was great to see them interact with the players while enjoying some classic bingo night fun.”
The Village at Heritage Point is luxury senior living facility in Morgantown, where residents enjoy lavish amenities, gourmet dining, and exciting activities from book clubs to day trips, officials said.
