Iga Swiatek has now spent 122 weeks at No 1 in the WTA Rankings as she has moved ahead of Ashleigh Barty in the all-time list while Emma Raducanu and Rebecca Sramkova enjoyed big jumps over the past week.

Five-time Grand Slam winner Swiatek skipped last week’s Korea Open, but she was always assured of staying ahead of Aryna Sabalenka in the rankings. In fact, her lead is big enough to keep her at the top for at least another three weeks.

Having returned to No 1 in November last year, the Pole is now in her 47th consecutive week at the top to go with the 75 weeks from her first stint as No 1.

Swiatek now sits alone in seventh place on the all-time list for most weeks at No 1 with Barty dropping to No 8, but the 23-year-old has some way to go if she is to move further up another place as the sixth-placed Monica Seles is on 178 weeks while fifth-placed Martina Hingis is on 209 weeks.

The reigning French Open champion has also opted not to defend her China Open title this week, which will give Sabalenka a chance to close the gap before a showdown for the world No 1 ranking at the Wuhan Open from October 7.

There are a couple of changes in the top 10 with Maria Sakkari – who is currently nursing a shoulder injury – dropping eight places to No 17 after she dropped points from her 20223 Guadalajara Open title run.

Danielle Collins and Barbora Krejcikova were the big beneficiaries as they moved up one place each.

But the biggest winners were outside the top 50 as 2021 US Open winner Raducanu found herself at No 70 last week, but she moved up 16 places to No 54 following her run to the quarter-final of the Korea Open.

Raducanu also broke through the 1,000-ranking points barrier as she now sits on 1025 points and, with no more points to defend for the remainder of the year, her only way is up as she is set to play at least three tournaments over the next month.

But the honour of the highest jump in the top 100 goes to Sramkova as she moved up 41 places to No 61 after winning the Thailand Open 2, defeating Laura Siegemund – who is up 30 spots to No 69 – in the final.
