The England Women’s batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge will represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Part of the UP Warriorz in the 2024 edition at a price of INR 30 lakh, Wyatt-Hodge has moved to RCB in an all-cash trade deal between the two franchises.
33 years old, Wyatt-Hodge is one of the most experienced batters in Women’s cricket with 164 WT20Is and 112 WODIs. Acquired by UPW, she couldn’t play a single game in the season with UPW’s top-order already stacked, including their captain Alyssa Healy’s presence as an opener.
Meanwhile, at RCB, Wyatt can replace Sophie Devine, who might be released ahead of the next auction. In that case, she will be opening with Smriti Mandhana who is also her opening partner for Southern Brave Women in the Women’s hundred competition.

Her skills and competitive spirit align perfectly with our team’s vision. We are excited to welcome her to RCB and look forward to the energy she will bring to the squad.”
RCB will be the defending champions in the 2025 season. They won the 2024 edition beating Delhi Capitals in the final. UP Warriorz finished fourth in the season.
