The WPIAL has chosen semifinal sites for 16 of its 24 basketball semifinals with North Allegheny and Peters Township set to host the Class 6A boys games.

The semifinal matchups are set for Class 6A, 4A, 2A and A boys, along with 5A, 4A, 3A and A girls. The four other classifications have quarterfinal games Friday.

Class 6A

Monday’s games

1-Upper St. Clair (21-2) vs. 5-Central Catholic (14-9) at Peters Township, 7 p.m.

2-New Castle (20-3) vs. 6-Mt. Lebanon (17-7) at North Allegheny, 8 p.m.

Class 4A

Saturday’s games

1-Belle Vernon (19-4) vs. 4-Avonworth (18-5) at Peters Township, 3 p.m.

2-North Catholic (18-5) vs. 3-Beaver (19-4) at North Allegheny, 4 p.m.

4-Neshannock (20-2) vs. 8-Union (18-6) at Ellwood City, 8 p.m.

2-Sewickley Academy (19-4) vs. 3-Jeannette (21-2) at Fox Chapel, 7:30 p.m.
