PARKERSBURG — The Worthington Women’s Golf Association passed the midway mark of its 75th season of continual league play with the awarding of prizes to July game winners at the August business meeting.
July 18-hole winners were: Carol Geletko, Mary Lopez, Katie Parsons, Marsha Jackson, Mary Ellen Eddy, Coleen Wittig, Mina Applebaum, Jan Kiger, Jeanne Chalfant, Gaye Fife, Mirtala Smith and Nancy Meredith.
Winners from the nine-hole players were: Jan Wittman, Shirley Crutchfield, Andrea Brock, Sandy Perrine, Lori Butler, Donna Gaston, Linda Connolly, Barbara Payne, Ann Boyce, Ellen Knotts and Carlene Archer.
Regular season WWGA league play will conclude Aug. 27, with the annual league scramble scheduled for Sept. 3. The tournament to determine the WWGA 2024 League Champion will be played Sept. 10 and 17, with Sept. 24 scheduled as a rain date.
The WWGA is a league of women golfers who welcome all players from the Mid-Ohio Valley to join them each golfing season. Information can be obtained by calling the Worthington Golf Club.
