As we have been predicting, short-burst sales are bringing airfares under pre-pandemic levels. The sales will come with short notice, and for just a few days.

Qatar Airways has a sale for flights to Europe, with economy fares from $1529 return, and business from $7629.

Flights have to be booked on Saturday or Sunday, as the sale ends on August 4, 2024.

The fares are for flights departing until December 3, 2024, then from January 6 to April 1, 2025, and then April 16 to May 31, 2025.

There is a credit card transaction fee of 1.5 per cent, to a maximum of $80 per person for bookings. There is no charge for debit card and other forms of payment.)

Destinations include Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Berlin, Birmingham, Brussels, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, Isfahan, Istanbul, Lisbon, London Heathrow, Lyon, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Venice, Vienna, Warsaw, Zagreb and Zurich.

Qatar Airways has been named World’s Best Airline for a record-breaking eighth time in the 2024 World Airline Awards, based on online customer-satisfaction surveys by consultancy firm Skytrax. Passengers from 100 countries rated more than 350 airlines.

Qatar was also awarded World’s Best Business Class for the 11th time.

It’s home, Hamad International Airport in Doha, was voted World’s Best Airport in the Skytrax awards in 2021, 2022 and 2024.
