East Avenue, winner of the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity last fall but 0-for-2 since, worked Tuesday at Fair Grounds.

The 3-year-old son of Medaglia d’Oro breezed four furlongs in 48.0 seconds at Fair Grounds for trainer Brendan Walsh, second fastest of 39 at the distance.

East Avenue has 10 Kentucky Derby qualifying points from the Breeders’ Futurity win. He finished ninth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and 10th in the Risen Star (G2) in his only starts since.

East Avenue was one of seven graded-stakes winners and three colts with Derby points who had published works Tuesday.

Get Her Number (Dialed In), a Grade 1 winner (2020 American Pharoah), worked five furlongs in 1:02.4 at San Luis Rey on Tuesday morning. It was the slowest of six works at the distance. His previous work was 10 days ago going five furlongs at San Luis Rey. In his last start he placed 10th in the Mint Millions (G3) going one mile on the turf at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 2 for trainer Peter Miller.

May Day Ready (Tapit), a Grade 2 winner (2024 Jessamine), worked three furlongs in 39.0 seconds at Fair Grounds on Tuesday morning. It was the slowest of five works at the distance. Her previous work was 107 days ago going three furlongs at Del Mar. In her last start she placed second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 1 for trainer Joe Lee.

Un Ojo (Laoban), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Rebel), worked four furlongs in 48.1 seconds at The Training Center At Copper Crowne on Tuesday morning. It was the fastest of 13 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at The Training Center At Copper Crowne. In his last start he placed third in an allowance race going one mile on the main track at Aqueduct on Jan. 27 for trainer Linda Rice.

Background (Khozan), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Longacres Mile Handicap), worked four furlongs in 51.8 seconds at Oaklawn on Tuesday morning. It was the 12th fastest of 14 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Oaklawn. Best Actor (Flatter), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Smarty Jones), worked four furlongs in 50.0 seconds at Turfway Park on Tuesday morning. It was the 10th fastest of 23 works at the distance.
