White Abarrio skipped Saturday’s Grade 1, $20 million Saudi Cup so
he could be focused on a domestic campaign. In pursuit of that, he was back on
the work tab Sunday morning.
The 6-year-old horse trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. turned in a bullet
35.5-second drill going three furlongs at Gulfstream Park. It was his first
breeze since he won the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) on Jan. 25.
With the Met Mile (G1) at Saratoga a long-term goal late this spring, White
Abarrio is expected to be entered next month in the Ghostzapper (G3) at
Gulfstream.
