Eclipse Award and Breeders’ Cup winner Straight No Chaser continued
his training for a trip to the Middle East when he turned in his second
consecutive bullet workout Saturday at Santa Anita.
The champion male sprinter of 2024 went five furlongs in
59.2 seconds for trainer Dan Blacker. It was the fastest of 72 drills covering
the distance on the fast main track Saturday morning. It was the same time and
distance as the 6-year-old Speightster horse worked 12 days earlier.
Owned by MyRacehorse and carrying $1,416,300 in earnings, Straight
No Chaser is training for the Grade 2, $2 million Riyadh Dirt Sprint, a
six-furlong race Feb. 22 in Saudi Arabia.
