Continuing to getting ready for an ambitious 4-year-old
season, Eclipse Award finalist Sierra Leone breezed Sunday morning in Florida.
The two-time Grade 1 winner was clocked going a half-mile in
50.6 seconds at Payson Park. It was Sierra Leone’s second drill for trainer
Chad Brown since he came back from a break following his Nov. 2 triumph in the
Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Sierra Leone is being pointed to next month’s $20 million
Saudi Cup (G1) with longer-term goals being the Whitney (G1) during the
Saratoga summer and a repeat bid in the Breeders’ Cup this fall at Del Mar.
