GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women’s golf team hosts the UNCG Collegiate from Monday to Tuesday at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Spartans are looking to bounce back from a 16th-place finish at Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational last weekend in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. UNCG has finished fourth or better in three out of its first four tournaments to begin the season.

THE FORMAT

The two-day, nine-team and 54-hole tournament gets underway on Monday with the first two rounds and play beginning at 8:30 a.m. The tournament will then conclude with one final round on Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m. Both days will feature shotgun starts.

LAST TIME OUT FOR UNCG

• The Spartans finished 80-over-par (920) on the weekend after posting 310-299-311.
• UNCG finished seven strokes ahead of The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe Western Carolina.
• The Spartans earned 139 pars and 22 birdies in the tournament.
• UNCG was at its best when playing the short holes, finishing tied for ninth among the teams with a 3.23 stroke average on par threes.
• Senior Ava Romfo tied for 30th overall and led the Spartans at 10-over-par (220) with rounds of 74-72-74. She finished with seven birdies and 30 pars.
• Sophomore Kasey McIlvaine was second on the team and tied for 54th overall after finishing at 16-over-par (226) with 76-72-78. She led the Spartans with eight birdies.
• Freshman Sophie Lauture finished third for UNCG and 80th on the player leaderboard at 27-over-par (237) after carding an 82-74-81. She tied for the team lead with Romfo at 30 pars.
• Junior Julia Baeumken was fourth on the team and tied for 83rd at 31-over-par (241) with rounds of 78-81-82.
• Sophomore Elle Burnette tied for 85th after finishing 32-over-par (242) with rounds of 82-82-78.
