Women’s Golf To Compete in Quinnipiac Classic This Week – Harvard University

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women’s golf will continue its Fall slate this week when it travels to the Farms Country Club to compete in the Quinnipiac Classic. The Tournament is slated for Monday and Tuesday October 14-15 and will feature some of the region’s top golf programs. The team will look to build off its strong start to the 2024-25 season when it tees off Monday morning.

Notes and Storylines

Harvard will be making its first ever appearance in the Quinnipiac Classic this week.

The Crimson is coming off a seventh-place finish in the Princeton Invitational last weekend.

The team began the season with a second-place finish at the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational.

Bonnie Zhai will make her season debut at the Farms Country Club this week.

First-year Lucy Yuan is off to a great start in her collegiate career, coming in eighth at the Nittany Lion Invitational and T13 at the Princeton Invitational.

Yuan has been Harvard’s most consistent golfer, posting a scoring average of 73.o in her first two tournaments.

Captain Iris Wang has also recorded two top 20 finishes this season, coming in ninth at the Nittany Lion Invitational before posting a T17 finish at the Princeton tournament. Wang owns a 74.67 scoring average in six rounds this season.

First-year Vanessa Zhang is back in the Crimson lineup and also hopes to continue her strong start to her first collegiate season. In two tournaments, Zhang owns a ninth place and T23 finishes. Zhang owns a scoring average of 75.0 in six collegiate rounds.

Next Up

Harvard will end its Fall season this weekend with its final tournament appearance at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational. The Crimson will defend its team title in the event at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club this weekend (Oct. 19-20).
