SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah – Santa Clara women’s golf shot the lowest round among the 10-team field on day two of the Wolverine Invitational, carding a 3-under 285 at Talons Cove on Monday. The Broncos remain in third place with a two day total of 2-under 574 and are just five strokes behind UC Irvine (569) for the lead. 

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Sophomore Kelsey Kim had the top round of the day for the Broncos, rolling in five birdies as part of a 3-under 69. She climbed eight spots in the standings and currently sits in sixth place at 2-under 142 ahead of Tuesday’s final round.
• Amy Im improved four strokes from Sunday’s round with a bogey-free 2-under 70 on Monday. She climbed 14 spots in the standings and is just two strokes behind Kim in a tie for seventh at even par (144). 
• Audrey Brust also improved upon her opening round 74 by turning in an even par 72 to climb seven spots into a tie for 14th alongside Alexa Pineda (72-74–146) and Sonia Hao (70-76–146) 
• UC Riverside’s Sofia Vargas has a three-stroke lead at 10-under 69-65–134.
