BOULDER CREEK, Nev. – West Texas A&M women’s golf finished the first day of the UMSL National Preview in seventh place at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Lady Buffs ended the first 36 holes of the tournament with a team score of four-under par (572) and sit 23 strokes back of Cal State San Marcos (-27, 549).
Two WT golfers ended under par on the day including Gam Songprasert at six-under (138), sitting in eighth place. The other golfer, Sarah Reed, tied for 19th on day one at two-under (142) after recording five birdies and no bogies in the second round. Antonella Periotti Omisolo tied for 37th at two-over (146) after 36 holes in Nevada. Charlee Thacker sits one stroke back of Periotti Omisolo, tying for 40th at three-over (147), while Kara Holm ended tied for 50th at eight-over (152).
The Lady Buffs return to the course tomorrow for the final round in Boulder Creek, Nev.
