JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women’s golf announces the official release of its 10-event schedule for the 2024-25 on Monday afternoon.
The Ospreys’ tournament slate is highlighted by its 12th-annual Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate from Mar. 3-4. They will also co-host another tournament with Furman from Mar. 31-Apr. 1 in the inaugural Coach Mo Classic in Saint Augustine, Fla.
“Looking forward to getting the year started with this group,” said Director of Golf Scott Schroeder. “The schedule has a few new events and the team is working hard to be ready to roll.”
UNF put up five finishes in the top four during the 2023-24 season with a pair of runner-up placements at the White Sands Bahamas Invitational and the Spring Break Shootout. After placing third last season in the ASUN Championship, they look to get back on top of the conference for the first time since 2022.
“We’re excited to return to a few of our favorite events and play in six new tournaments this season. It’s going to be a fun year,” said associate head coach Courtney Cobb. “We’re fortunate to have a competitive tournament schedule with several events hosted at awesome courses and locations!”
Going into the fall season, the Ospreys will sport a six-person roster, headlined by All-ASUN selection Casilda Allendesalazar and returning letterwinners Kaitlynn Washburn and Helen Zhou. Shivani Karthikeyan will get back in the action after redshirting last season, while Kaitlyn Schroeder and Braydn Smith enter the fold as newcomers.
Schroeder transfers in from Alabama as a redshirt sophomore just a couple years after being named the top HS recruit in the nation. Smith will be the lone true freshman on the team with three underclassman and three upperclassman on the team.
