University of Missouri women’s golf opened play at the Westbrook Invitational Sunday, finishing the day with a season-low team-score of 286 in round two.
Senior Ffion Tynan opened with a two-under 70 in the first round, carding a 69 in round two to match a team-low 18-hole score and finish the day five-under in ninth individually. Her day was highlighted by five birdies on the par fives and nine birdies overall.
Sophomore Fleur van Beek posted a two-under 70 in both rounds, finishing at four-under in a tie for 12th after day one, which was highlighted by three birdies in just four holes on the back-nine in round two.
As a team, the Tigers are seventh of 14 schools at +1 with No. 25 Kansas leading at -26.
The final round will be a shotgun start on Monday at 9:30 a.m. CT.
