MOREHEAD, Ky. —

It’s the 14th annual event hosted by Golfweek with 18 teams converging on the Hammock Coast for the event. Fifteen men’s team’s will also compete at a sister course this week. Although the official name of the event has changed slightly over the years, this will mark MSU’s fourth consecutive season in the field.
Head coach Stephanie Barker, beginning her 18th season leading the program, is happy for her squad to compete.
“This is always a fun event to start the year,” she said. “Not only do we get to play at a magnificent facility, we get to compete against some of the best teams from all around the country. We’ve got some teams we are familiar with (Tennessee Tech), but it will be a great challenge to play with teams from the northeast and out west as well. Our team is eager.”
Morehead State’s 2024-25 roster features eight student-athletes, six of whom will compete in this event. Top returners MacKenzie Moore, Tuva Marie Isebakke, Amelia Rae Greenlee and Isabella Wiley are in the lineup as is freshman Tavia Burgess. Freshman Ineke Brynard, all the way from South Africa, will play as an individual.
