Sophomore Rachael Jones carded a Top 10 round to lead the Hope College women’s golf team at the MIAA Jamboree on Saturday in Tecumseh.
The sophomore from Grove City, Ohio (Grove City HS) tied for ninth place by firing an 8-over-par 80 at Tecumseh Golf Club.
The Flying Dutch finished fifth at the nine-team event with a total of 338. Saint Mary’s College (308) placed first.
Sophomore Jaiden Winters (New Carlisle, Indiana / New Prairie) tied for 15th after shooting an 83.
Senior Sarah Owens (Charlotte, Michigan / Charlotte) chipped in an 84.
Juniors Caydee Constant (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) and Sara Muir (Ada, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) posted 86s.
Junior Hannah Finch (Dexter, Michigan / Dexter) finished with a 90.
Sophomore Allyson Zuidema (Northville, Michigan / Northville) carded a 91.
Sophomore Kylie Gernaat (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Kalamazoo Christian) had a 92.
Hope’s next event is the MIAA Jamboree on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. hosted by Trine University at Zollner Golf Course.
