*ACC: One-bid league, but likely will get two if SMU and Miami win next week. Root for a Syracuse victory over the Hurricanes.
*SEC: Gets four teams in with Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama (9-3) or South Carolina (9-3). If Texas A&M beats Texas next week, this scenario gets cloudy. Root for the Longhorns. Georgia Tech beating Georgia or Vanderbilt beating Tennessee would be huge.
*Big Ten: Four teams likely, but another Indiana loss would take Hoosiers out.
*Big 12: One-bid league.
*Group of Five: Boise State is ranked higher than Tulane and Army.
*Notre Dame: In with win over USC. And likely in even with a loss.
As you can see, Alabama or South Carolina looks to be one of the first teams out here if the ACC puts two teams in the playoff and Indiana wins next week. If Syracuse beats Miami, however, that puts Clemson in the ACC Championship Game against SMU. And at the point, Gamecocks fans would be rooting for the Mustangs to get the ACC’s lone bid unless the selection committee invites the Hurricanes (10-2).
