Yahoo Sports’ Jason Fitz explains why he expects the Chiefs quarterback to finally break out and have a big week against his beloved Raiders.
Because I remember being at the Super Bowl for Yahoo Sports, I was talking to a bunch of different Chiefs players and everybody knows my Raiders fanned him and II, I was joking with some of the guys that I’ve interviewed over the years that know me and one of the guys is we were standing on the field talking said, man, I’ll tell you something.
This team is never gonna forget Christmas Day ever.
That’s when the Raiders went in and beat the Chiefs.
So last time Kansas City won, Kansas City has been sitting there thinking about this game ever since that game happened.
The Raiders are objectively just terrible right now and Kansas City has struggled offensively.
They’re not gonna struggle in this game.
Mahomes has struggled this year.
He’s not gonna struggle in this game.
Why?
Because they’ve had this one circled on their calendar and a lot of times we see teams sort of pull off.
That is not gonna be what happens here.
I think the Chiefs are looking to try and put up 40 or 50 points.
Mahomes is gonna absolutely go off and an angry, angry football team is going to release the Demons on my beloved Raiders.
And I’m gonna sit there and watch all of it because it’s the only time I get to see what a good football team looks like.
It’s not my team either.
