Wild Woods Warriors reaffirmed their dominance in the Chandrashekhar Azad T20 Tournament by logging a commanding seven-wicket victory over City Challengers at the Tau Devi Lal Cricket Stadium, Panchkula.
Opting to field first, the Warriors restricted City Challengers to 148/5 in 20 overs with unbeaten Nikhil Kumar (58) and skipper Amrit Lubana (31), leading the score chart. In reply, Kunal Mahajan (55) played a match-winning knock and was well supported by Tushar Joshi (48) and unbeaten Nipun Sharda (32) as the Warriors chased down the target in 18.3 overs.
Earlier in the day, Punjab Panthers secured a 13-run victory over HIIMS Hawks and successfully defended their modest total of 155/8. Arnav Bansal (33) and Ankit Kaushik (30) were the key contributors with the bat, while Mandeep Singh (3/34), Rahul Singh (2/17) and Armaan Jakhar (2/23) led the bowling for Hawks.
In the chase, despite top scorer Nehal Pajni (37), a disciplined bowling effort by Rohit Dhanda (4/29) and Nishunk Birla (2/25) restricted the Hawks to 142/9 and sealed the win for Punjab Panthers.
