Coach Matt LaFleur said the Packers are in good health and feeling confident heading into Thursday’s game with the Lions.
Football games are often delayed for player injuries.
But on Thursday night during the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game there was a delay for an injury to someone else on the field: a referee.
Ref Carl Johnson was bumped by Packers defesive end Kingsley Enagbare as he was walking off the field in the third quarter. Johnson was caught off guard and grabbed his shoulder.
Members of the Packers and Lions training staff as well as his fellow referees came over to provide assistance.
He was taken to the official’s locker room for examination.
