The final days of 2024 on the horse racing calendar are highlighted by the opening of Santa Anita Park’s winter-spring “Classic” meet on Thursday, Dec. 26. The opening-day card features six graded stakes races, including the Malibu Stakes, which drew Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve winner Mystik Dan, and the newly-named Laffit Pincay Jr. Stakes. That race was formerly named the San Antonio Stakes and now honors the Hall of Fame jockey who is the all-time wins leader at Santa Anita with a total of 2,860.
Live racing from Santa Anita will air on FanDuel TV. That network will also show races from Gulfstream Park, Fair Grounds, Turfway Park, and many other tracks daily on its main channel and also on sister channel FanDuel Racing.
After a brief break, Aqueduct resumes with its winter meet on Friday, Dec. 27. Action from the Big A as well as Oaklawn Park is showcased on “America’s Day at the Races.” The NYRA-produced program will air on FOX Sports channels Friday, Saturday Dec. 28, and Sunday, Dec. 29 – check the below schedule for dates and times.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
