OXFORD — Ole Miss football keeps climbing in the College Football Playoff rankings.
The Rebels are ranked No. 9 in the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday. It’s Ole Miss‘ highest College Football Playoff ranking this season, and a good bump coming off an open week that gave the Rebels time to get healthy and score recruiting wins.
The Rebels (8-2, 4-2 SEC) were ranked No. 11 in the CFP rankings after beating Georgia 28-10 in Week 11.
Ole Miss will defend their projected spot in the College Football Playoff at Florida (5-5, 3-4) on Saturday (11 a.m., ABC).
In this scenario, Ole Miss football would travel to No. 5 Indiana in the first round. The winner would advance to play No. 3 Texas.
