Well before Black Friday, many stores in Knoxville already had started their sales for holiday shopping. With many stores no longer open on Thanksgiving day, the early sales allow people to shop ahead and then spend time with their families on the holiday.
Even so, whether you’re a Black Friday shopping traditionalist or you just need a break from cooking and entertaining the family after Thanksgiving, there will be plenty of in-person shopping deals this Black Friday, Nov. 29.
West Town Mall will be ready for Black Friday, and you can visit simon.com to keep up with store hours and offerings there. Most stores at the mall will open at 6 a.m. Black Friday, with some opening later, and will wrap up at 9 p.m. If you want to get your holiday photos taken while you’re shopping, Santa will be at West Town Mall through Christmas Eve.
Tanger Outlets in Sevierville will participate in the biggest in-person shopping day of the year, with most stores opening at 6 a.m. Black Friday. Visit tanger.com to view individual store ours and deals.
Here’s a look at which specific stores will be closed on Thanksgiving, and who will be open when on Black Friday. Hours might vary by location.
Several retailers will be offering similar Black Friday specials online – or already were well before Thanksgiving. Many of those businesses also will have Cyber Monday deals for online shopping Dec. 2.

Americans are expected to spend record amounts on holiday gifts this year. According to The Conference Board, an average of $677 will be spent on gifts. But the
