Since their loss to then-No. 19 Tennessee on Feb. 6, Geno Auriemma’s squad has been one of the hottest teams in college women’s basketball, ripping off seven straight wins.
Meanwhile, the Red Storm have already played one game at Mohegan Sun Arena, taking down No. 9 seed Butler 66-50 in the first round on Friday. Ber’Nyah Mayo led St. John’s in its first-round victory with 16 points, with Skye Owen adding 13 points herself.
