Ron Price served three PGA Tour commissioners in 30 years as the COO
PGA Tour Chief Operating Officer Ron Price is retiring after more than three decades of having a front-row seat to the Tour’s growth.
Round 3 at a PGA Tour event is usually the first with a trimmed-down field, but at the 2025 American Express, today is the day we’ll see the cut.
The tournament is splayed over three courses between PGA West and La Quinta Country Club, with the final round taking place tomorrow at the Pete Dye Stadium Course. Nick Dunlap won this event last year, though he’s got work to do to repeat.
Charley Hoffman and Rico Hoey enter tied for the lead at 16 under. Jason Day, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler are near the top, as is Nick Taylor, who’s looking for back-to-back PGA Tour wins after last week’s Sony Open. Also in the mix is 17-year-old Blades Brown, making his first appearance as a pro.
