BATON ROUGE – LSU women’s basketball looks to start the season 2-0 as it hosts instate foe Northwestern State inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday (7 p.m., SEC Network+).
Led by junior star Flau’jae Johnson and senior forward Aneesah Morrow, No. 7 LSU crushed Eastern Kentucky, 95-44, in the team’s season opener at home Monday.
LSU’s opening schedule isn’t tough; Kim Mulkey is planning to utilize the first handful of games to get her team in sync, as there are five newcomers and others, like sophomore Mikaylah Williams and junior Sa’Myah Smith, who are being asked to play different or more prominent roles.
