Louisville basketball vs Florida State preview from coach Pat Kelsey
Louisville basketball coach Pat Kelsey previews Cards’ Saturday road game at Florida State. Hear what he had to say.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Louisville basketball got a much-needed weeklong break after playing one of the most daunting early season schedules you’ll find anywhere around the country.
Up next for Pat Kelsey‘s Cardinals (6-5, 0-1 ACC): a conference road game against Florida State (9-3, 0-1) today at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
Led by Leonard Hamilton, the ACC’s longest-tenured coach, the Seminoles were picked to finish 15th in the conference’s annual preseason poll. Coming off a midweek win over Winthrop, however, they were seventh among league members in the NET as of Friday at 71st; making this another Quad 1 game for U of L.
FSU is 0-3 against power conference opponents to this point. The Cards haven’t won in Tallahassee since 2018. Something’s got to give.
Here’s what you need to know to follow today’s game from home:
U of L and FSU are scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. today inside the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
Betting odds: Louisville is a 1 ½-point road underdog (-110) on BetMGM, which set the over/under at 153 ½ points (-105, -115). The money line odds are FSU -135, U of L +110.
Score predictions: KenPom.com gives the Cards a 41% chance of winning and projects a 76-73 final score in Florida State’s favor. BartTorvik.com is also forecasting a Seminoles victory (63%), with a projected final score of 76-73.
