MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball is back home at Bramlage Coliseum on Sunday for a 1 p.m. game against Arkansas Pine Bluff after going 2-1 and placing third last weekend at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
K-State (5-2) is a heavy favorite against a struggling UAPB team (1-7) that has dropped six straight. The 1 p.m. game is the front end of a doubleheader with the No. 12-ranked Wildcat women’s team (6-1) facing Central Arkansas (4-1) at 3:30 p.m.
K-State is coming off an 80-64 victory over Longwood in the Paradise Jam third-place game Monday after falling to eventual champion Liberty, 67-65, the night before. Illinois graduate transfer Coleman Hawkins had 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks against Longwood for his first Wildcat double-double, while Brendan Hausen scored 16 points, Dug McDaniel 11 points with six assists off the bench and David N’Guessan 10 points.
