HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI – A filtration systems manufacturer is expanding its facility to support continued growth.

M.W. Watermark on Thursday, Oct. 24, announced a $8.5 million addition to its facility at 4660 136th Ave. in Holland Township.

The company manufactures large-scale water and process filtration equipment for various businesses to reduce wastewater and solid waste disposal.

“Our customers are almost all other industries that are trying to eliminate waste,” Mike Gethin, president of M.W. Watermark told MLive. “There are a lot of varied applications.”

The 48,000-square-foot addition will stand at 45-feet-tall, which is about twice as tall as the existing facility. It is being built to accommodate the company’s growth and need to house larger equipment.

“We were maxed out on how large the equipment we needed to build could be, and it’s a pretty good-sized building now,” Gethin said.

Vice president Christine Gethin said the company currently employs 72 people and expects to add more positions, such as machine builders, with this latest expansion.

Zeeland-based Midwest Construction is the general contractor on the project. Construction is expected to begin next week and finish by June 2025.

“We’re just really happy to work with these guys,” said Jason Hall, partner at Midwest Construction. “It’s been a great relationship.”
