To be honest, I’d be fine to never predict another Freeport football game.
Two weeks ago, I picked the Bulldogs to beat Jay by two touchdowns. They lost by 28. Last week I picked the Bulldogs to lose to Northview by 28. They won 36-26.
I told Freeport head coach Shaun Arntz late Friday night that I was happy to be proven wrong.
Freeport (2-1) represents two of my four misses on the year en route to an 18-4 record. Eliminate the Bulldogs and I’m batting .900. Unfortunately this week only gets tougher as Freeport visits Cottondale, a foe they’ve beaten by six and four points in back-to-back thrillers. Here’s hoping we can right the ship.
Including the paradox that is Freeport, here are my Week 4 predictions. I’ll be at Jack Foster Stadium on Friday for the Okaloosa County rivalry between Crestview-Niceville (giving me the luxury of visiting the original Pounders Hawaiian Grill for dinner), so follow me at @SethSnwfdn for stats, score updates, video and color commentary.
