Matchup to Love: Nico Collins vs. Detroit Lions
To be clear, there’s still no guarantee that Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) will be activated from injured reserve this week. It’s worth remembering, though, that the Los Angeles Rams didn’t activate Puka Nacua until a few hours before their Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Collins has cleared the necessary hurdles to return.
“Collins has passed all tests for hamstring, no setbacks, per league sources, regained speed, mobility, ready to go. Matter of when, not if he’ll be designated for return,” Wilson posted on X.
Managers should have a backup plan ready, which will be tricky because Houston plays on Sunday night. Texans receiver Robert Woods is still available in 99 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues, while Rams receiver Demarcus Robinson—who will play on Monday—is available in more than 70 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
If Collins goes, he’s a must-start against the Detroit Lions. This should be a high-scoring game, and Detroit has surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing receivers.
