Spotlight on the Middle East’s Tech Transformation
Web Summit Qatar 2025 will also focus on the Middle East’s inspiring journey to becoming a global tech leader. With massive investments driving the growth of smart cities and efforts to move beyond oil-dependent economies, the region is carving out a unique space for innovation and progress. Conversations will explore how technology is being used to tackle real-world challenges—like reducing financial inequality, improving access to healthcare, and finding solutions to the climate crisis.
Web Summit Qatar’s focus on facilitating connections is central to its ethos. Founder Paddy Cosgrave explains, “It’s an opportunity for very young companies, very early-stage startups, to come together to meet with each other, meet potential customers, and meet with potential investors. It’s an opportunity for young companies, whose stories may not yet have been told anywhere, to share their story, their product, and what they’re hoping to build.”
