That’s not a crime, of course, nor even a penalty, though a PGA Tour official was called in to assist with Vegas’ ensuing free drop.
Vegas was leading the tournament at that point. He went on to make par there on the 12th hole, and two putted from 96 feet on 18 to make birdie and top Max Greyserman by a shot.
