The Gamecocks went undefeated across their 38-game regular season and postseason slate, beating Caitlin Clark and Iowa to claim the national title. Biden correctly predicted in his women’s NCAA Tournament bracket that South Carolina would win.
Led by head coach Dawn Staley, South Carolina has won two out of the last three national titles in the top division of women’s college basketball.
