The Virginia Cavaliers men’s basketball team was back in JPJ on Saturday playing against, well, themselves.
In a three period scrimmage, the ‘Hoos consistently switched lineups and teams, giving the fans a show and putting the talents of UVA’s seven newcomers on full display.

Meanwhile, UVA’s increased pace of play and diversified offensive scheme made for an entertaining and informative viewing experience.
Plus, the women’s hoops team had its own scrimmage which we broke down with four takeaways as Coach Mox and Kymora Johnson look to lead the Cavaliers back to the NCAA Tournament.
Along with our written coverage, we also filmed extended highlights from the men’s scrimmage with scoring plays, stops, and a look at all the newest ‘Hoos playing in front of a Charlottesville crowd for the very first time.
We’ll be rolling out more and more preseason basketball content in the coming days and weeks ahead of the men’s team’s season opener on November sixth and the women’s on November fourth.
