(KNSI) – Minnesota workers have it pretty good.
Personal finance website WalletHub ranks the state third in the country for jobs. The score is broken into two main categories. Minnesota is in the top 10 in both the job market and economic environment ranks.
The average household earns $82,000 once you adjust for the cost of living, third-highest in the nation. Income is high from the get-go in a career. Fresh off graduation, you can expect to make $3,900 as a beginning salary, the 10th best in the country.
Minnesotans have access to private health insurance and retirement plans at a rate well above the national average, making it the fourth-best state for working moms and dads.
WalletHub concludes its case for the state by noting our low unemployment rate. It ended 2023 at 2.7% but has risen for most of the year, now registering at 3.4%.
