Part of October extravaganza is a literary celebration, Katara Arabic Novel Festival, running from Sunday until October 20 at Katara – Cultural Village. This event will honour Moroccan novelist Tuhami Al-Wazzani as its personality of the year, celebrating pioneers of the Arabic novel.
The festival will also feature a book fair and engaging family workshops, reflecting the spirit of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, a year-long initiative designed to foster deeper understanding and connection between the two nations.
The Pearl Cirque, from October 17 to 27 at The Pearl Amphitheatre, promises a spectacular family outing. The iconic amphitheatre transforms into a grand circus tent, hosting acrobats, fire dancers, clowns, and a dazzling array of other performers.
Music lovers will be treated to a double dose of exceptional talent on October 17 as internationally acclaimed Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will take the stage at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The following day, October 18, the QNCC will host the world-renowned Moscow La Classique Ballet in a stunning performance of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake”.
Luxury and craftsmanship take centre stage from October 24 to 29 at Galleria Al Hazm with the Asjad Jewellery Exhibition, now in its sixth edition. The event showcases exquisite pieces from renowned designers and brands. The Galleria will also host the Zinatha Exhibition from October 31 to November 8, a premier fashion showcase featuring elegant abayas, jalabiyas, fine cosmetics, and more, appealing to discerning women across the Gulf.
November 6-9 will witness Al Shaqab International Arabian Horse Show at the Longines Indoor Arena. Film enthusiasts can look forward to the Ajyal Film Festival from November 16 to 23, celebrating international family-friendly cinema, including a “Made in Qatar” programme that showcases local talent.
According to Visit Qatar, families will also enjoy the Katara Children’s Festival from November 23 to 25, featuring Moroccan cultural elements in honour of the Year of Culture.
The third edition of the Qatar Travel Mart will take place from November 25 to 27 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, bringing together tourism stakeholders from around the globe and promoting Qatar as a leading travel destination. The 6th Qatar International Art Festival, set from November 25 to 30 at Katara, will showcase the work of more than 300 artists from more than 65 nationalities, reinforcing Qatar’s position as a hub for art and culture. This impressive festival will feature painting and sculpture exhibitions, art conferences, workshops, and cultural performances.
