They didn’t have to do him like that.
The US Open X account savagely trolled a male spectator who appeared to get stood up by a woman for a Honey Deuce drink while in the stands at Louis Armstrong Stadium on Monday night.
In a video of the awkward interaction, the man was returning to his seat with two of the tournament’s signature drinks and then appeared to try and hand one off to the woman in the seat next to him.
However, another man swooped in and handed the smiling blonde a Honey Deuce drink.
“This is cinema,” the US Open X account wrote, including a video of the now-viral interaction.
Cameras captured the moment when American Frances Tiafoe went up, 30-0, on Aleksandar Kovacevic in the second set with the match tied, 1-1.
The man who was left with two drinks glanced at the woman and looked confused when he sat down.
It’s unclear if they knew each other.
All three people involved in the interaction appeared to have wedding rings on, while a fourth woman appeared at the edge of the screen.
Some couldn’t help but crack jokes about it X.
“Next-level friend zoning,” one person wrote.
“This is a horror film,” another added.
“The Real Housewives of Flushing, NY,” someone else said.
