PALM DESERT, CA — Four to five golf carts went up in flames in a Palm Desert parking structure early Tuesday morning, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.

At about 5:44 a.m., crews were called to the 1000 block of Pinehurst Lane, where the carts were burning, the agency said. The area is near Marriott’s Desert Springs Villas II resort.

The fire was contained in about 20 minutes; no injuries were reported.

Firefighters remained at the scene to mop up; the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
