GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The Child Advocacy Center at the University of Florida has earned national accreditation.
The accreditation comes from the National Children’s Alliance and recognizes organizations that provide services to children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Leaders said the process took less than two years, and that this achievement underscores UF Child Advocacy Center’s dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable youth across these communities.
UF’s Child Advocacy Center covers case management, family support, and trauma-focused mental health services. They cover Bradford, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, and Union counties.
Leaders with the center announced their 3rd annual golf tournament will be held on April 12, 2025, at the Chiefland Golf Course.
This fundraiser, “Fore! The Kids: Chippin’ Away at Child Abuse” raises funds to directly support the services that this program provides.
