Calling his invitation to the NFL scouting combine a “blessing,” UCF wide receiver Kobe Hudson took his shot to impress scouts, coaches and general managers Saturday in Indianapolis.

Hudson, a three-year starter after reuniting with former Auburn coach Gus Malzahn, was the fourth and final Knights player to compete at the combine. Defensive backs BJ Adams and Mac McWilliams went Friday, and running back RJ Harvey preceded Hudson on Saturday afternoon.

So, how did Hudson perform? Here’s a list of his on-field measureables, along with some highlights from the day’s events.

Broad jump: 10’2″

Hudson’s athletic metrics predominantly ranked around the middle of the pack, relative to the rest of the draft-hopeful receivers. NFL Next Gen Stats’ Combine IQ issued Hudson an “average” draft score of 67, factoring in his athleticism and production — 2,961 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns across parts of five seasons at Auburn and UCF.

It was during positional drills where Hudson shined, in particular, Saturday. He caught every ball in a clean run through the gauntlet, and secured a post pass — extending his hands away from his body without breaking stride — from Missouri quarterback Brady Cook.

Kobe Hudson 40 time

Hudson’s top effort in the 40-yard dash was officially marked at 4.57 seconds, tied for 32nd among the 39 wideouts that ran Saturday. He matched the time of Oregon’s Traeshon Holden and San Jose State’s Nick Nash.

Texas’ Matthew Golden was the fastest receiver in the field at 4.29.

All four UCF skill-position prospects broke the 4.6 barrier, paced by Harvey at 4.4 flat.
