In the final minute of the first half, Proctor jumped to contest a shot at the rim on a fast-break opportunity for the Hurricanes and came down awkwardly on his left leg. The junior guard immediately reached down to grab the area around his left knee before limping into the tunnel.

After halftime, ESPN announced Proctor would be out for the rest of the game with a left knee injury. Freshman wing Isaiah Evans, who had 16 points in the first half, started the second half for Duke (24-3, 15-1 ACC).

Throughout the season, Proctor has been among Duke’s most valuable players, averaging 12 points on 43.8% shooting, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He surpassed 1,000 career points in the first half of the Miami game, scoring seven points in 14 minutes before exiting with 36 seconds before halftime.
