LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Two middle schools in Southern Nevada celebrated the opening of newstate-of-the-art fitness centers.
Sedway Middle School in North Las Vegas hosted the first ribbon-cutting Tuesday morning, followed by Gunderson Middle School in Las Vegas.

Fitness icon and entrepreneur Jake Steinfeld, chairman of theNational Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils, attended the two events.
Both schools won a “DON’T QUIT!” fitness center for demonstrating leadership in getting and keeping their students fit.
Each fitness center is financed through public-private partnerships and does not rely on the state for funding.
