Türkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek is set to visit Qatar and Kuwait this week, where he will engage in official meetings and investor discussions.
As part of the visit, Simsek will arrive in Qatar today and hold high-level talks in Doha, including a meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
Following this, Simsek is scheduled to meet with Qatar’s Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and the CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud.
During his time in Qatar, Simsek will also engage with investors under the “Invest in Türkiye” program, aiming to boost foreign investments into Türkiye.
After completing his meetings in Doha, Simsek will travel to Kuwait for further discussions. He will meet Kuwait’s Finance Minister and State for Economic Affairs and Investments Minister Noora Al Fassam as well as the CEO of the Kuwait Investment Authority Ghanem Suleiman Al Ghenaiman.
The visit seems to be part of Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen economic ties with key Gulf nations. Simsek’s meetings in Kuwait will also include a major investor session before his return to Türkiye.
