US President-elect Donald Trump spent Sunday afternoon golfing with his granddaughters Kai and Chloe Trump, days after securing a victory in the 2024 election. The family outing at Trump’s Florida golf club featured a special guest appearance from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who emerged as a key supporter of Trump’s re-election campaign.

Kai Trump, 17, shared photos from the day on Instagram, posting a smiling picture of herself with her grandfather, captioned, “Sundays with Grandpa.”

In a post on X, Kai referred to Musk, 53, as having achieved “uncle status” after he joined the family on the green with his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-12.

“Elon achieving uncle status,” she wrote, sharing a snapshot of the billionaire and his son alongside her.

Another image showed Kai and her younger sister Chloe, 10, standing beside Trump, who wore a white polo shirt and hat emblazoned with his ‘Make America Great Again’ catchphrase.

The golf outing capped a frenetic week for Trump, who defied projections and defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in a tight election and, at 78, became the oldest person to be elected President.

Shortly after her grandfather’s landslide victory, Kai posted a celebratory family photo, which showed Musk standing on the edge of the Trump family circle — the only non-Trump in the group.

“The whole squad,” she captioned the image, sparking speculation that Musk has become very close to the President-elect and his family.

Musk established himself as one of Trump’s most vocal supporters, publicly endorsing him after an attempt on his life in July. The SpaceX boss reportedly donated over $100 million to Trump’s campaign and actively campaigning in swing states to help secure Trump’s win.

In return, Trump indicated Musk may play a prominent role in his administration. Trump had pledged to create a “government efficiency” position, with the tech magnate expected to lead the initiative.

Following the election, Musk was reportedly invited to join Trump’s calls with world leaders. The billionaire was on the line when the President-elect dialled Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signalling his growing influence in the incoming administration.
